Risk controls

Set limits before an order is sent

Make position rules, stop conditions and manual pause options part of the configuration.

Position limits and pause settings under review

Controls are instructions, not protection from loss

We help configure operational checks around your strategy, such as position-size limits, order eligibility and conditions that pause new submissions. A typical controls review takes several working days and ends with a settings record and test scenarios you can inspect. You approve the thresholds and remain responsible for your trading decisions. Market gaps, broker behaviour, connectivity problems and unexpected prices can prevent an order from behaving exactly as a setting suggests.

Questions to settle before setting limits

Each answer should reflect the account and strategy you actually intend to use.

What these settings do not cover

A limit can stop a workflow from deliberately submitting an order outside its configured range. It cannot control the price at which a broker fills an accepted order or keep a market open during an interruption. We test the configured responses, document what was observed and identify dependencies outside the platform. Revisit the settings when you change strategies, instruments or brokers; an old threshold may no longer express what you intended.

Discuss the limits you need

We can explain what the available controls do and where external dependencies remain.
